Moeller Multimedia was founded in 2005 by Justin and Nathan Moeller, twins then in 8th grade, as an official outlet for their game development activities. The initial development activities focused on the utilization of a game development program named RPG Maker, which is a graphically-oriented development environment for creating role-playing-games. The Bakken Museum Video Game originated from the intersection of these game development activities with Justin’s and Nathan’s mother’s work as a Science Educator at the Bakken Museum (http://www.thebakken.org/). The first generation of the Website materialized as a result of a desire to better support users of the Bakken Museum Video Game and provide a mechanism for players to post their points to a leader board. The current 2nd generation of the Website materialized as a result to offer a better, more secure e-commerce customer experience enabling the purchase of either a hardcopy CD-ROM version or a downloadable version. Nathan and Justin Moeller are currently in the Computer Science program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, but are active as moderators on the Moeller Multimedia forum.
